I either need to get my act together, or give up on this thing…think I’ve set a new slacker record on updates as it’s been 3 months. So why the delay? Welllllll…..
In December, we were paid a visit by Mom and Dad Walker. To say that we were thrilled to have them is an understatement, as their timing happened to coincide with an event we’ll forever call “the Mobility of Mr. Tane”. Yes - I’ve said it. Tane is moving. Tane does not stop moving. Tane is Trouble.

Tane is testing out his own theories of entropy just about every second of the day, and we’re quite certain that whatever love Maggie once had for our family has been lost with our adventurous new addition. But for all the trouble and tormet he’s causing, our little man continues to make us smile. He’ll be 1 year old on Tuesday, and despite having not a single tooth in his mouth, he’ll probably eat at least 3 pieces of cake.

All this talk of Tane….what about that daughter of ours you ask? Well our little 2 1/2 year old appears to be turning 13 soon instead of 3. Her vocabulary is quite amusing these days as she’s been spending quite a bit of time with a little english girl named Ava. So “Mommy” has been “Mum” lately. Ella is still quite the character, and is thoroughly enjoying her newly created dress-up area complete with Angel wings and Minnie Mouse outfits.

We celebrated a fantastic Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa, but without a doubt, the highlight of the visit had to be the 2 week journey around the South Island of New Zealand. Think Chevy Chase Vacation - only with better scenery. 12 hotels in 13 nights. 4 adults and 2 little people in a not so large vehicle. Too much luggage. Tarps and suitcases on the roof, pull out couches, and holiday parks! In all honesty, we had a great time, and got the chance to see and experience some amazing things.
Jen claims that she’s going to post a complete itinerary - so bug her a bit for me. In the meantime, I’ll leave you with a couple of pictures and be sure to check out even more at this link…click here for the Walker’s South Island Adventure!

These pictures aren’t half as great as the real thing, so we’d highly suggest taking the trip yourself! So my folks have come and gone, and the Bonds are now visiting and enjoying the South Island themselves. With birthdays and more trips just around the corner, we’ll try to keep this updated a little more frequently! Until then….keep in touch!
